Oleatrium Olive and Olive Oil History Museum was founded in 2011 by Mr. Hasan Tonbul and his wife Mr. Founded by Gürsel Tonbul. This museum is filled with a collection created with great patience and meticulousness as the product of more than 30 years of experience. Here's a cup of information for you:

The Journey of Olive Oil

In the museum, you will witness the story of how olive oil goes from the production stage until it reaches our table. This journey from ancient times to the present sheds light on how olives turn into olive oil.

Latin Name: “Oleatrium,” meaning “olive courtyard” in Latin. This name was chosen to reflect the olive's connection to Anatolian and Mediterranean history and to leave a legacy to future generations.

This museum offers a unique story about olives and olive oil. Visiting this extraordinary exhibition hall in Kuşadası will delight both your eyes and your taste buds!

The museum is located at Atatürk Street No:128, Caferli Neighborhood, Davutlar, in the Kuşadası district of Aydın.


The museum is open daily from 08:00 AM to 06:30 PM. The entrance fee is 20 TL, and the discounted fee is 10 TL. Museum Pass is not accepted.


The museum consists of 11 different halls that depict the transformation process of olives into olive oil from ancient times to the present. Each hall presents production techniques and uses of olive oil from different periods through artifacts and dioramas.


Oleatrium means olive courtyard in Latin. This name was chosen to reflect the connection of olives with Anatolian and Mediterranean history.


Photography is allowed inside the museum, but the use of flash is prohibited. Additionally, please refrain from touching the exhibited artifacts.
